Figure Eats Hair Jig Grade Bucktail

THE PERFECT BUCKTAIL FOR HAIR JIGS

This is the only grade not graded by length but by fiber characteristics, typically 2.5"-4" fibers but softer and way less hollow. If you're after that flowing, human hair-like quality and movement for jigs, this is your grade. These fibers will have minimal flare under thread tension. Walleye and bass anglers take note. 

Our AA, A, and Clouser grades are typically your hollow fibers that are perfect for spinning or other tying methods. The Hair Jig grade is much different, not hollow, soft, and flowy...absolutely perfect for tying...yup, you guessed it...HAIR JIGS. 

Figure Eats Bucktail is the most premium bucktail available on the market today. Hand selected and custom-dyed in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Good bucktail is the perfect fly tying material for building beautiful, lightweight, and water-shedding flies. But that is not all its perfect for. We have had tons of customers reach out over the years asking us to source them the tail they need for Hair Jigs for walleye, smallmouth and many others. This is not your hollow bucktail, but instead soft and flowy. Typically the hair jig tails have fibers that are 2.5"-4" in length.
