Return & Exchange Policy

Look. I understand that the right bucktail is needed for the job. Simply put — if you're not satisfied, I'm not satisfied. Things happen. Bucktail is a natural material that came off a wild animal, not a factory line, and every so often what shows up isn't quite what your fly (or your gut) was calling for.

So here's how we make it right.

30 days, no drama. You've got 30 days from the day your order arrives to reach out about a return or exchange. After that, I'll assume it found a good home.

I'll send the label. Don't want to deal with shipping it back on your own dime and guesswork? I'll email you a prepaid return label. Only catch: the label cost comes out of your refund, or gets added to the invoice when your exchange ships. Nothing sneaky — just covering what it actually costs to get it back to me.

Keep it sellable. For a return or exchange to go through, the bucktail needs to come back unused and in the same sellable shape it left in. Run your fingers through it and dream big all you want — just hold off on cutting or tying anything until you're sure it's a keeper.

Just talk to me. Not sure your situation fits neatly into the rules above? Reach out anyway. I'd rather work something out with you directly than have you stuck with a tail that isn't doing the job. That's the whole point of all this.

For all questions on refunds, exchanges, or any other issue with your order, please email me at info@figureeats.com or call me at #920-850-7322.

Meet Gabe Park

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Gabe has spent the last decade in the fly fishing industry chronically obsessed with fish big enough and dumb enough to eat something the size of the family cat. Before Figure Eats, he ran the entire bucktail program at Musky Fool Fly Fishing Company, which mostly meant getting paid to smell like deer hide and argue with dye pots for a living. Bucktail is his love language. Ask him about fiber density and hollow hair and watch an hour disappear. Just don't ask him about how to dye a bucktail jet black or he'll have to throw you in the Flambeau.

Muskies are his one true love, but sitting down at the vise with a high quality tail is where that dream begins. He's a Wisconsinite through and through, still casting long after everyone else has reached for a beer, and still convinced the next cast or the next bucktail is the one.
